What JAKIM halal certified really means
Not all halal claims are equal. Here's exactly what our certification covers — and why it matters.
What is JAKIM?
JAKIM — the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia — is one of the world's most respected halal certification authorities. Established by the Malaysian government, JAKIM's halal standard is recognized in over 70 countries and is considered the gold benchmark for halal compliance in the food and supplement industry.
Our certification process
Ingredient audit
Every raw material is traced to its source. Suppliers must provide documentation proving halal compliance before they are approved.
Facility inspection
JAKIM inspectors conduct on-site audits of our manufacturing facility to verify segregation, cleaning protocols, and staff training.
Formula review
Each product formula is reviewed by JAKIM's panel to confirm no prohibited substances are present at any stage of production.
Certificate issuance
Upon passing all checks, JAKIM issues a certificate with a unique reference number that can be verified on the official JAKIM portal.
Annual renewal
Certification is not permanent. JAKIM conducts annual re-audits and surprise inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
